Editing Scanned PDF's (Optical Character Recognition)
Solution
PDF's which have been scanned in require Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to edit the PDF. Scanned PDF's contain only the image of text, rather than actual text. OCR is necessary to analyze the image and create editable text.
deskUNPDF 3.0 features an optional OCR module for editing your scanned documents, or PDF's that otherwise convert as image only. With the OCR module, deskUNPDF can convert immediately to any of the output formats available, such as .doc, .html, .xls, image formats, and more.
